The path to better health

If your BMI is showing you're obese or overweight, you can lower your BMI by losing weight. You can do this using the most common weight-loss strategies like:

  • Healthy eating. Choose lean meats and fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Cut down on alcohol, sugar, processed foods, sodas and juices. Consume fewer calories.
  • Exercise regularly.This includes cardio and weight-bearing exercises to build muscles and reduce fat. It is effective in managing belly fat. The presence of belly fat increases the risk of developing certain diseases. Always consult with your doctor before starting an exercise regimen.
  • Being mindful of the portion control. Avoid eating too much at mealtimes and snacks.
